About The Gala

Step Up and Step Out, a heart and soul benefit for Interval House is the agency's largest fund raising event.  For the past several years, the gala has been a black tie welcomed event and is attended by many donors and supporters of our work, and also by some very recognizable faces in our state.   It is a memorable evening filled with fun, friends, and what makes it truly a unique experience, a six course tasting menu delicately paired with exceptional wines by Jim Donahue, Winam Wines.

The night begins with a traditionally televised walk down the red carpet where you will be greeted by one of our local celebrities and welcomed by Executive Director, Cecile Enrico.   During the cocktail hour you will be able to peruse and bid on the silent auction, which has included an array of activities and items including a VIP tour and tickets to attend The Daily Show with John Stewart; a private chef preparing a Greek dinner for 8; a 6 liter bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon; one of a kind estate jewelry and so much more.  During dinner, you are able to bid on some extraordinary "live" items which have included in the past, trips to NYC, France, anywhere in the world; dining with Senator Richard Blumenthal or with Coach Geno Auriemma and Coach Howie Dickenman; chances to be on air with local television and radio personalities just to name a few.

And if that is enough, you will enjoy dinner music and then dance the night away.   The gala has been held at The Society Room of Hartford for the past several years...that alone is memorable.
