Interval House is
Changing the Future
Outreach and education is key to helping prevent and break the cycle of domestic violence. Interval House’s Community Educator is available to speak and make presentations to businesses, schools, churches, civic groups, and other organizations. Topics include domestic violence, teen dating violence, the impact of domestic violence on children, parents and Interval House’s services and history. For more details, or to request a speaker call, 860-645-4034, Ext. 301.
New Beginnings, Interval House’s newsletter is the main publication used for community outreach and highlighting of Interval House’s achievements. Newsletters may focus on victim success stories as well as activities and events in and around Interval House and the community.
Interval House offers speakers training sessions for volunteers who wish to help with community outreach and education. After successfully completing this four-hour training session, volunteers are able to speak about domestic violence, Interval House and its history at selected public events and presentations. This program is under the direction of the Community Outreach Coordinator and all speaking engagements must be approved by him/her. This training is offered annually, or as needed.
"We support Interval House so women and children will not have to experience stress, fear and violence. The transition support they offer is priceless - and they are truly changing the future."
