Safe Connections provide victims of domestic violence and their children comprehensive services when their abuser is incarcerated or returning to the community.
The Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence (CCADV) is sponsoring this pilot program to help victims and their families cope with the complicated issues surrounding prisoner re-entry into the community. Direct service providers Interval House for Hartford and the Umbrella Center for Domestic Violence Services for New Haven participate in this initiative.
Working collaboratively with agencies within the Department of Corrections, and Families in Crisis, this program strives to ensure the victims'rights, wishes and safety needs are met.
For information about this program, contact Interval House's Safe Connections Program Advocate at 860-246-9149 ext.349.
