Making a generous gift to Interval House through your will or estate will leave a legacy, helping to ensure that critical assistance is available to our clients in the future. We strongly recommend consulting your financial planner or attorney if considering a planned gift. Please note that our agency’s legal name is Hartford Interval House Inc. and our Federal Tax Identification is 06-0960005.
Naming Interval House in your will or trust is a simple way to support the organization and carry out your charitable interests. A bequest can be designed to establish an endowment fund or earmarked for any purpose you choose, and can designate a specific amount or percentage of your estate. Bequests are revocable if circumstances change.
Retirement plan assets are ideal as charitable contributions because they are so heavily taxed if left to heirs. By naming Interval House as a remainder beneficiary of these assets, you can continue to take regular lifetime withdrawals from your plan while still leaving a future gift to us.
Charitable Gift Annuities
Through a charitable gift annuity, make a gift of $10,000 or more to Interval House and in return, you become eligible to take a partial tax deduction for your donation, plus you receive a fixed stream of income from the charity for the rest of your life. With this sort of gift you receive an immediate income-tax deduction.
Charitable Lead Trusts
Support Interval House now and your family later with a charitable lead trust. Your trust pays income to the organization for a period of years and then passes the assets, often appreciated, to your children or grandchildren with minimal or no gift or estate taxes.
Charitable Remainder Trusts
A charitable remainder trust is an irrevocable trust that generates a potential income stream for you or other beneficiaries, with the remainder of the donated assets going to your favorite charity or charities. Tax benefits include an immediate income tax deduction and removal of the asset from your estate.
