Volunteer Training ProgramWithout you, we could not do the work we do
Due to the intensity of circumstances our clients experience and in accordance with the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence standards, anyone wishing to volunteer in a position that interacts with clients must complete 20 hours of training to be certified as volunteer. Interval House, the Connecticut Coalition Against Domestic Violence and our sister agencies all offer comprehensive 20-hour Connecticut Domestic Violence Certification Training. All trainings are conducted by highly experienced trainers who are well-known and respected in their fields and offer the latest in information, statistics, programs and protocol. There are also opportunities to volunteer in areas that do not involve client contact and therefore do not require certification. Examples are special events, fundraising, maintenance of in-kind donations, communications and data management.
If you choose to become an Interval House volunteer, you will be working to truly make a difference in the lives of victims of domestic violence and their children.
Interval House is proud of our volunteer program and grateful to the hundreds of hours of service each year many dedicated men and women provide to us. We are all looking forward to getting to know you and the talents, skills and passions that you will bring to our organization.
